Those who knew Tony will remember his intellect and joking spirit, his enjoyment of the outdoors and his love for all sports, especially the New York Yankees. Tony was raised in a multicultural family, where his Sicilian and Greek heritage were both embraced. He started his career at The Buffalo News and transitioned to his cousin's painting business, where he notably was on the team that painted the Grand Island bridges. After raising his kids, he then returned to college and obtained a degree in ophthalmology and was subsequently employed by Ophthalmology Associates of WNY. Tony was fond of golfing, gardening and had a lifelong enjoyment of camping. His love for National Geographic kept him close to nature and the outdoors. Tony lived a simple and humble life like that of his father, one to be proud of. Please share your memories and online condolences @ www.KOLANOFUNERALHOME.com
