Beloved husband of the late Martha (Kilburn); loving father of Virginia (William) Clayton, Barbara (late David) Palmer, Kathleen (Brian Reese) Southard, Maryann (late George) Knowlton, Donna (Randy) Warner, Steven Vungaro and Alisa (Marion) Smith; devoted grandfather of (15) grandchildren and (11) great-grandchildren; dear brother of Butch (late Eleanor), Martin (Brigette), and the late Frederick (Marge) and Edward (Elaine) Surdam; also survived by nieces and nephews. There are no prior visitations. Funeral Services followed by Military Honors will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, September 6th at 9:30am. Please assemble promptly at the Delaware Avenue entrance to the cemetery. Ernest was a US Navy Veteran and was retired from General Motors.
