ZON - Joseph "Mayor of Military Rd." passed peacefully on January 18, 2023, at age 90. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (Zielinski); beloved companion of Carolyn Wozniak; loving father of Joseph (Sherry), Marty (Layla), Timothy (Bonnie), Peter (Doug) and David (Stacey) Zon; devoted grandfather of eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; dear brother of the late Robert (Judy) Zon; cherished uncle of Dr. Robin Zon and Robert Zon, Jr. Visitation at the KOLANO FUNERAL HOME, 396 Amherst St. (near Grant) Saturday, January 21st from 1-5PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Assumption Church, 435 Amherst St., Monday, January 23rd at 10:30AM. Please assemble at Church. Private interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Mr. Zon was a Korean War Veteran and a member of Niagara Frontier Post #1041. He was also a Scout leader for Troup #142, a constant volunteer at Assumption Church and a consumer advocate at Channel 4.
