My wife Mary and I extend our deepest condolences to our cousins Jim, Joyce, their spouses, Jeri and Tim, their children and grandchildren on the passing of our Aunt Josephine Kaznowski. There are so many fine memories that she bestowed upon all of us, and they always fit just right. "Aunt Jo" was my godmother and was a beautiful woman, not only outside, but inside, as well. Looking back on some of those memories makes me feel bittersweet. During the years that my family lived at 57 Simon, the vacations that our families took together with her and her family were wonderful. The nice relationship that she and Uncle Joe were shared not only with my parents, but with other sisters, neighbors and friends. She was a very talented woman, and had she had the opportunity to continue her education, she would have been very successful at any occupation she would undertake. I remember when we lived at Simon we had what she called "squabbles," as all cousins do. But through her insight they would be over the next day, and we, as cousins, would continue to love each other to this day. As the years passed too quickly, we did not see each other as much. Once in a while I would stop when I saw her in her yard, and w ise would visit. I knew that I felt happy to see her, and she would smile and tell me that she felt good to see me. We talked about many things: things in her neighborhood, and most of all, about the many years that we knew and shared with each other. One point that I wish to make is when she told me that the vacations that she shared with my parents, Mike and Mary, were some of the best times that she had in her life. This was a very kind and much appreciated gesture! I knew that my parents had the same thoughts about Aunt Jo and Uncle Joe, as well. She was a wonderful homemaker, and expounded on her God-given talents of cooking, baking, and especially her arts and crafts. In fact she made the beautiful decorated eggs for my wife, Mary's, bridal shower which we still have today. Aunt Jo, you never became a famous movie star nor did you write the great American novel, but what you did do was far greater than those two accomplishments. You raised a wonderful family, shared in their love, and set an example for us who follow you to live up to. God bless and thank you, and I know that you will rest in peace. You deserve it and earned it.
Love, Your Nephew, Mickey and Wife, Mary Pachla
