KENNETH PARTON – Kenneth Raymond Parton, age 89, of Ethelsville, AL, passed away peacefully at his home with his family under hospice care on May 25, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 9:30 AM at the Church of the Assumption in Buffalo, NY with Father Richard Jedrzejewski officiating. The interment will immediately follow at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY. Kolano Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Buffalo, NY, and Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 2nd Ave. North location is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Parton was born July 8, 1929, in Swormville, NY, to the late Geoffrey and Gertrude Weber Parton. He was a teacher in the Buffalo School System for 31 years, mainly at Public School #42. Mr. Parton was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
His relatives include his wife of 64 years, Joan Marie Parton of Ethelsville, AL, children, Karen Carney and her husband Steve of Lancaster, NY, late daughter, Deborah Tkatschof, son-in-law Al Tkatschof of Buffalo, NY, Janice Cooper and her husband Tom of Columbus, MS, Kevin Parton of Buffalo, NY, Douglas Parton of Gainsville, GA, Patricia Hardy and her late husband Philip of Jacksonville, FL, Maria Kiscunas and her husband Peter of Flowery Branch, GA, and Mary Rabold and her husband Ronald of Jacksonville, FL, late brother, Donald Parton, sister-in-law, Eleanor Parton of Jacksonville, FL, brother, Emerson Parton and his late wife Jane of Buffalo, NY, 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
