BALK - James E. Of Cheektowaga, January 30, 2015, passed away surrounded by his loving family at age 91, beloved husband of Arlene (Krueger); dear father of Kathryn (Harry) Babcock, Marjorie (Kenneth) Rose, Suzanne DeJordy, Patricia (David) Brown and James (Gina) Balk; loving grandfather of Christopher, Danielle, Eric, Vanessa, Taylor, Gabrielle, Alexandra and Haley; great-grandfather of six; dear brother of the late Roselyn Houghton, Marguerite Teal and Francis Balk; also survived by nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict R.C. Church, 1317 Eggert Rd. (corner Main St.), Wednesday at 9:30 AM. James was a WWII veteran and an employee of Westinghouse for 38 years. He was a lover of the outdoors and a frequent camper at Allegany State Park.
