The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Paul Gumulak can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Hard Knocks

I only knew Paul for a few years yet I felt like we've been friends for longer. He was always fun to be around. It was very evident to me that Paul loved his family and was very proud of each one of them.

Here's a little story about Paul I would like to share as it brought us laughs.

While helping Paul move a refrigerator into their cabin, Paul was at the top and I was at the bottom as we went up about 4 stairs. As the refrigerator crested the top of the stairs and the dolly rested on the deck, I asked Paul to set it down, I wanted to adjust my hands. Paul says okay and the next thing I know, I'm laying on my back on the ground. Apparently "set it down" to Paul meant let it go. The refrigerator flew forward, striking me in the head, and knocking me off the stairs. We laughed so hard the rest of that day.

He was a great Husband, Father, Familyman, and Friend. I will miss him very much and I know he will be watching over his family and friends.

Rest In Peace Paul
