John, my hero, my husband, my life. He had a sense of humor all his own, and he loved to laugh! He had a unique laugh that made the rest of us join him! He had such dreamy blue eyes, which is what really made me stand up and notice him, in the beginning. He had a huge heart and always wanted to help if and where he could.
He loved his family fiercely and proudly. Even a week before his death, he looked around the house and talked about how happy he was, a conversation we had often after moving here. He loved our life here, our home, and our 4-legged furbabies. He loved that together we found lots of ways to overcome some difficulties and kept becoming closer and stronger throughout it all.
He always worried that he wasn't doing enough. He treated me like a princess... no, a goddess... and continually strived to please me. No woman could have asked for more. We created so many wonderful memories, and they are what stays close to my heart. He was always trying to make sure that I was okay, even as I was doing the same for him.
I have been embraced by this family and have become one with them. There isn't a better family out there. We look to each other for strength and love, and we don't disappoint. We are all feeling his loss and together, we will get through this.
We had a wonderful love story, and it will continue in my heart all the days of my life. I welcome you all to join us on Sept. 3rd at Losson (Stiglemeier) Park to celebrate the life he so loved, where we will share stories, memories, photos, and maybe even tears.
John, my love, I'll see you on the other side..... <3
