Hello all
We are friends and neighbors of Dan, Cindy, Sam, and Owen here in Savin Hill. We met Dan's father just a few times and they were memorable moments; as we are learning, he was an amazing person. Our condolences to all Dan's mother, brothers, and sisters at this time of sorrow.

I didn't know Joe well. Only met him a few times. Those few times gave me the impression, that he was a man who never met a stranger. I do know his eldest son Joe, who is married to my sister Maureen, very well. And if the saying, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree," has any merit at all, he was a great man.
I didn't know Joe well. But I feel like I did.

Joe Murray was an overpowering educational rock star. When I think of him I am reminded of an interview Billy Joel once had. He was explaining that as he was just becoming well known, he met the Beatles and was tongue tied because he had worshipped them. He was trying to explain how he felt when one of the Beatles turned to him and said, “ I know just what you mean. When I met the Everly Brothers I felt like a jerk too.”
Joe Murray was a superstar. He was my hero. I was always tongue tied around him. I will miss him.
