STACHNIK - Celia V. (nee Sondel) November 2, 2014. Passed away Tuesday morning after a brief illness at age 89. Beloved wife of the late Edwin “Blackie”; devoted mother of Richard (Robbie) Stachnik and Kathy (late Frank) Ceckowski; loving grandmother of Kelly (Brian) Stevens, Jennifer (Brian Hodiak) Stachnik, Keith (Beth) Ceckowski and Evan (Jenn Lamparelli) Stachnik; great-grandmother of Courtney Ceckowski; dear sister of the late Victoria (Brownie) Gembala, Joseph (Sally) Sondel, Anna (Chuck) Mondello and John (Stephania) Sondel; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many caring friends. Funeral from the KOLANO FUNERAL HOME, 396 Amherst St. (near Grant) Thursday 9 AM and Assumption Church at 9:30. Friends invited. Visitation Tuesday 6-8 PM and Wednesday 4-8 PM. Entombment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Celia was a Eucharistic Minister and Bingo worker at St. Florian’s Church, Financial Secretary of P.R.C.U.A. and a member of the Northwest Senior Center, the Ex-POW and the D.A.V. Auxiliaries.
