The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Celia Stachnik can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Michael Pachla

I was deeply saddened upon learning of the death of Dick's mother, Celia- Mrs. Stachnik. I wish to express my deepest condolences to Dick and his family, especially at this time of great loss. I, as well as my parents, knew Celia through her association with Family Bakery on Hertel Ave and through my fraternizing with her son, Dick. She was very kind and was extremely devoted to the students of St. Florian's School. Fortunately, even though I had not seen her in more than fifty years, I had the opportunity to speak with her by phone three years ago, and she remembered who I was. We had a very warm conversation. I treasure that moment. I was amazed to learn that she still resided on Grove Street, and she spoke with fondness for the neighborhood. I know that she is resting in peace, as God truly blessed a fine woman. From Michael Pachla - Class of 1960- St, Florian's School
