One of the most precious things Great Grama gave me was her wonderful example of what true love is. In the last years of my Great Grampa's life, we would come to her house from our Grama's home next door, and she would be right there in the kitchen, attending to his needs. The respectful and concerned way she would address him, spoke volumes to me about the self sacrifice we must be willing to make when our soul mate is unwell. The vivid memory of her grief and loss at his funeral was a testament to me of the devotion she had for him. I knew in those moments that I wanted to love like that. I'm grateful that I now have the opportunity to love in that capacity with my husband and soul mate, Dominic. Great Grama, your love and devotion lives on in all of us.
